What about me?

Hello, everybody!

My name is Bárbara Barrera, but my friends (and all the people, actually) call me "Negra". Let me tell you some things about me before you read my others post. I was born on 9th, 1994 in Punta Arenas, a beautiful city located in the south of Chile. When I was 8 years old, I had to move with my family to Viña del Mar - another city of my country- and I was living there since I was 16 years old. There, I studied in the Colegio de los Sagrados Corazones Padres Franceses, and I made very good friends and I met a lot of wonderful teachers. But in 2010, I had to moved again to Punta Arenas with my mother and my little brother because my step father is a marine. It was very hard because I had to left my friends and all my life behind me. But finally, when I arrived to Punta Arenas, I made very good friends and I met with my grandmother and my uncle again, so it wasn't too bad.

In 2011 I suposed to start the university, but I decided to travel because do you know what? I LOVE TO TRAVEL! So I worked in a coffe calls "Tapiz" for five months and then I took my things and I travelled to France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Norway and Egypt alone. It was a very amazing experience because I knew a lot of wonderful places and I met so beautiful people. I think to travel alone in another countries could be one of the most enriching things in the world. I definitily recommend it to you.

Then, when I came back to my trip, I had to decided what I will study. And let me tell you a secret: I didn't know (even a year later) what I would like to study. And I definitly didn't guilt myself because, how do you spect that a girl of 18 years old decided her future? So I had to think very hard what things I like to do more, and I concluded that to write was one of them. So I put all my cards in the journalism, and here I'm; studying one of the most wonderful careers of the world, and what is more important, being happy.
