Hi, everybody

Today I would like to talk about Jorge Lanata, an argentine's journalist. He was born in Mar del Plata and he started his career working in a argentine's magazine called Colmena. Then he started to think about the political corruption in Argentine, and he had been write a lot of books relationed with it. He shoul be one of the most critical persona about the Cristina Fernández's goverment and for that reason he write a complaint books. But he worked in the television and in the radio too, even he make good performances like and actor too. The last book he wrote is called "10K: la década robada"; "the stolen decaded" in english. The tittle of this book refers to the ten years of Cristina Fernandez in the power.

Maybe you should be answer, "why she likes this character?" Well, I say to you that I like very much that he hasn't outspoken to report the corruption in his country. He always gives his opinion in front of the people, because he doesn't have fear.
I would like to do big things like him in my career. I would really love to report the bad practices in every country that I will live.

See you the next week!
Take care

The news of the week

Hi, everybody

Today I would like to talk about some news of the week who was a trendic topic in the social networks: two women in the subway didn't want to give the sit to a pregnant woman. The news was a viral on Facebook and Twitter because another passenger want to record this situation to report it. The film show specially one of this two women who reffused to give the sit to the pregnant woman although she was in the preference sit.

I think this kind of situation show the individualism of our society. Maybe this two women was tired about work, maybe they had a bad day, or maybe they had a lot of problems in their life. However, this women should had a little awareness and a tiny piece of empathy with this pregnant woman because, if you see the video, you will realize she definitely had about eight month of pregnancy.

I read in the Cooperativa's page that this selfish woman closed her Facebook because a lot of people wrote her to give their opinion and insult her. This situation makes me think about the power of the "social punishment". Maybe it can be one of the worst punishment in the life.

I hope this situation never happen again.
See you soon!

My favourite picture

Hi, everybody!

Today I would like to talk about my favourite picture, who was taken in Baños, a village in Ecuador. I travelled to this country one year ago with two friends, Valentina and Francisca. We were there for fourteen days, and we visited a lot of places. One of them was Baños, the best place for me. In this village you can do a lot of outdoor and extreme sports, what's a difference with another places that we visited, like the famous "Montañita" or the capital, Quito.

One day we went to the jungle and we visited the native people who live there, and they took us to a beautiful place when we can jump in the vine of the picture. All the people was affraid to jump because down your feet you can saw a huge precipice, so I said "I want to go first" and when I jumped I just felt a big and beautiful freedom. And for my lucky, one of my friend took this photo in the exactly moment. I just love this picture because when I see it I feel in that place, I can smell, look and feel the freedom in myself, Sometimes I would like to be there to scape from the stress of the city, but then I remember that I'm a student. Is a big fail jaja.

If you want to visit this place, don't doubt to write me and I can give you some tips about places to go and when you can pass the night for the best price.
See you soon!

Hi, everybody!

Today I would like to talk about music. If you ask me what style of music I like more, I definitely answer you the salsa. Do you know this kind of music is a mix of african, venezuelan, cuban, jamaican, brazilean, dominican and colombian music with another jazz and latinoamerican rhythms?
That's why this kind of music is so funny! Of course I like to listen this music, but I love to dance it also. Here in Chile we have some places call "salsoteca", when you can shake your body to the rythm of music, and when you can dance with some unknown people. If you ask me what kind of people are the best in this dance, I definitely answer you the cuban and the colombian people.

If you're interested in this music, I recommend to you to listen:

- Juan Luis Guerra (he sings "merengue" too): "La Gallera", "Me enamoro de ella", "La Cosquillita" and "Pedir su mano", which are the most powerfull songs
- DLG: "Juliana" and "Acuyuyé", the most popular songs of this group
- Celia Cruz (oh my god Celia!): "La Negra tiene tumbao'" and "Guantanamera". I think Celia can be the most popular salsa's women singer in the entire world because she was just so fabulous!
- Marc Anthony (he sings bachata and a mix of regueton with salsa too): "Flor Pálida" and "Vivir la vida", one of his amazing songs.

Finally, I will recommed to you another wonderful colombian singer: Carlos Vives. He sing "Vallenato", a typical music from the north of Colombia. I think this kind of vallenato isn't too common, because is like a mix with pop music. If you want to discover this singer, I recommend to you to start with "Ella es mi fiesta", "Cuando nos volvamos a encontrar", and "Pa' maite". You will love it! I promise you.
See you soon!

My favourite piece of technology

Hi everybody!

Today I would like to write about my favourite piece of technology: my cellphone. Maybe you are agree with me or not, but my cellphone make my life more easy in a different ways. Like example, when I have to make a note for the university I just use my phone to write my ideas or to start the note, or when I need to know something about anything I can search it on Google and get a quick answer, or maybe when I running because I can listen to the music and get more motivation.

But I can use my phone to talk with my friends and my family too, using Whatsapp, Skype, Snapchat or Facebook. In this last aplication, you can find people that you don't see after a lot of years, you can upload the photos of your vacations or your days, you can share some interesting articles, etc.

I got this technology when I travelled to Ecuador the last year, because I wanted a new modern cellphone to can talk with my family and to take very good pictures of that country. Since that experiencie I use my phone a lot, and I think if I lose it my life could be the same, but I definitly will miss it.

My favourite subjects

Hi you!

Today I would like to write about my expectations for a new semester. Like as you know, I'm studying journalism in the University of Chile, so I have a lot of funny subjects relationed with my career, like Radio. In this subject you have to think that you're in a real radio doing your job. For some people it can be very stressing, but I like very much to be on pression and to do the job very quickly. In the other hand, I think the radio can be the best mass media to express freely your thinking and your political ideology, what's more difficult in the TV for example.

Another subjects calls Cultures Studies, and I think is very interesting because it follow a special line of study, based in the popular culture and in the postulates made for the Frankfurt School. I think every person has to do another activities independent from the university because yoo have the chance to know other people and to do the things that you really like. So, for that reason, I love to play volleyball with my university team, and go to dance salsa and running sometimes.

I would like this new academic period will be interesting about my subjects and another activities, and I hope I can find a job who allow me to travel in the summer.

What about me?

Hello, everybody!

My name is Bárbara Barrera, but my friends (and all the people, actually) call me "Negra". Let me tell you some things about me before you read my others post. I was born on 9th, 1994 in Punta Arenas, a beautiful city located in the south of Chile. When I was 8 years old, I had to move with my family to Viña del Mar - another city of my country- and I was living there since I was 16 years old. There, I studied in the Colegio de los Sagrados Corazones Padres Franceses, and I made very good friends and I met a lot of wonderful teachers. But in 2010, I had to moved again to Punta Arenas with my mother and my little brother because my step father is a marine. It was very hard because I had to left my friends and all my life behind me. But finally, when I arrived to Punta Arenas, I made very good friends and I met with my grandmother and my uncle again, so it wasn't too bad.

In 2011 I suposed to start the university, but I decided to travel because do you know what? I LOVE TO TRAVEL! So I worked in a coffe calls "Tapiz" for five months and then I took my things and I travelled to France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Norway and Egypt alone. It was a very amazing experience because I knew a lot of wonderful places and I met so beautiful people. I think to travel alone in another countries could be one of the most enriching things in the world. I definitily recommend it to you.

Then, when I came back to my trip, I had to decided what I will study. And let me tell you a secret: I didn't know (even a year later) what I would like to study. And I definitly didn't guilt myself because, how do you spect that a girl of 18 years old decided her future? So I had to think very hard what things I like to do more, and I concluded that to write was one of them. So I put all my cards in the journalism, and here I'm; studying one of the most wonderful careers of the world, and what is more important, being happy.
